How to change the Maximum File Upload Size in SharePoint 2010


Default maximum file upload size in SharePoint 2010 is 50MB. How do I increase the file size to 100MB in SharePoint 2010?
Here is the step by step instruction to change maximum upload file size in SharePoint 2010

1. Go to Central Administration and click on Manage Web Application

2. Click on your SharePoint 2010 Web Application which you want to increase the maximum upload file size

3. Now click on General Settings change maximum upload file size in SharePoint 2010

4. Go where it says Maximum Upload Size and change the 50 MB to 100 MB and click ok.  This will enable you to upload documents up to 100MB size to SharePoint 2010 document library.

How to delete a document library in SharePoint 2010


How to delete document library or any other library in SharePoint 2010?  Deleting a library in SharePoint 2010 is different than SharePoint 2007.
To delete library in SharePoint 2010 we need to go to Library Tools | Library | Library Settings |

1. Go to your SharePoint 2010 library which you want to delete

2. Click on Library Tools | Library | Library Setting |

3. In Library Settings | under Permissions and Management | Click on Delete this library
In this case, I am deleting a form library which I created.

4. When you click on Delete library you get a message saying “ This document library will be removed and all its files will be deleted. Are you sure you want to send this document library to the site recycle bin?

How to edit Content Editor Web Part with HTML Text editor in SharePoint 2010?

In SharePoint 2010 Editing content Editor Web Part is kind of tricky.  I was unable to find the source and HTML Text editor in content Editor Web Part Property section in SharePoint 2010.
From Format Text Tab on the ribbon toolbar, I saw the HTML drop down list and selected to edit HTML source but the source I insert is not going into the SharePoint 2010 content editor web part at all.

After playing around for while, I came to know how to edit the content editor web part.  I hope this  will help someone who is having issues with SharePoint 2010 Content Editor Web Part.

Your web part will say “ Edit this web part to add content to your page”  Click on Content Editor Menu and go to Edit Web Part

Now you can click on HTML under Format Text and click on Edit HTML Source

Adding Folder to a Library in SharePoint 2010


 

1. Login to your SharePoint site as the administrative account

2. Select Site Actions > Click New Folder under New group

4. In the Ribbon under the Library Tools section click the Documents tab
