Sharepoint 2010 is the first version of Sharepoint to include support for taxonomies with the addition of the Term Store. DataFacet is the number one resource for pre-built taxonomies for Sharepoint 2010 as well as tools and services to enhance information tagging and search in the Sharepoint 2010 environment.
DataFacet’s library of taxonomies can be installed in Sharepoint 2010 term store and the DataFacet taxonomy manager and auto-classification tools can be integrated so that a document added to Sharepoint will be automatically tagged with the appropriate metadata from the taxonomies.
